In short

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, shows no ads and loads nothing from other servers: fonts, pictures and stories are on our own web space. There is no contact form, no comments and no user accounts. Your browser stores nothing for this website on your device, apart from what it caches on its own.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Uberspace (Jonas Pasche), Kaiserstr. 15, 55116 Mainz, Germany. When you open a page, the server processes technically necessary data: your IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred, the page you came from (referrer) and your browser and operating system. Without these data the server can neither deliver the page nor protect it against attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure, working website. The server writes every request to a log file, but your IP address only shortened: the first 16 bits of an IPv4 address and the first 32 bits of an IPv6 address, the rest set to zero, so an entry can no longer be traced to you. We have a data processing agreement with the host under Art. 28 GDPR.

Playing the stories

The audio player is part of this website. When you open a story page, your browser loads only the basic data of the audio file, such as its length; the rest only when you press "Play". Only the server log data described above arise. We don't store where you were in a story or which speed you chose.

Contact by e-mail

When you write to us, we process your e-mail address and your message to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR when it concerns an order or an enquiry, otherwise (f)). We delete the message once it is dealt with, unless we have to keep it for legal reasons.

There is no newsletter yet. Before it starts, we will add here which provider we use, which data we store for it and how you unsubscribe.

Links to other websites

We link to sources such as Wikisource. Only when you click such a link do you leave this website; then the other site's privacy policy applies.

Children

Copsetale is made for families. Nobody can enter or upload anything on this website, children included. Beyond the server log data described above we process no data during a visit, not from children either.

Your rights

You have the right of access to your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority where you live or the one responsible for us, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de).
